More than Just a Sports Program

Gremlinz represents more than a brand; it’s a reflection of my life, my resilience, and my determination to give today’s youth the opportunities I never had. Growing up in Carbondale, I didn’t have structured outlets, mentors, or safe environments to guide me in a positive direction. Skateboarding became my escape, my identity, and the one place where I could express myself freely. Even when the world around me was unstable, skating grounded me and gave me something to hold onto.

Empowering the Unseen

To me, Gremlinz symbolizes the kids who feel unseen, misunderstood, or left behind. It stands for the raw, untamed energy of youth, the kind of energy that can go either way depending on the influences around them. A “gremlin” is a kid with spark, creativity, and potential, but also someone who needs direction, support, and belief from their community. I was one of those kids. And now, I want to be the person I needed when I was young.

A Path to Positivity

Gremlinz aims to transform that energy into something powerful and positive. By creating safe spaces, mentorship opportunities, and a culture built on skill, discipline, and creativity, we can guide teens away from violence and toward purpose. Skateboarding becomes the tool, but the real mission is building confidence, leadership, and community pride. We want you to be free to express yourself in this atmosphere.
